Misha
Misha, the character illustrated here, is a character I created once upon a time on a whim. Originally a simple doodled image on a piece of high school homework, I enjoyed drawing him, and decided to flesh him out further. I gave him a name, and a story where he was kidnapped while walking home late from work, eventually being tortured and killed, becoming a trapped spirit. Gruesome, I know, but I enjoy a horror story, and he does get to have a bittersweet ending, living his afterlife as a ghost and becoming an urban legend among teens, who come and talk to him with a ouija board, befriending him even though he looks like a dismembered boy, even in his spirit form. This was a way for me to push myself out of my normal contented or happy expressions, and explore the rendering of blood, especially with the heavy layering of his intestines.
